Hear from Khun Kasemsri Charoensiddhi (MBA 1998)
Hear from Khun Kasemsri Charoensiddhi (MBA 1998), President of Bank Maspion, a subsidiary of Kasikornbank PLC, who joined an insightful panel at the “Scaling Up Business Across Thailand & Indonesia” forum at Sasin on June 12, 2025.
Alongside fellow industry leaders—Mr. Niwat Boonyad (Banpu PLC), Mr. Bani Maulana Mulia (Samudera Indonesia), and Ms. Kun Riana Aplika (Garuda Indonesia)—Khun Kasemsri shared her perspective on the challenges and opportunities of cross-border expansion.
💬 She emphasized the need to understand customer behavior and offer tailored banking solutions when entering new markets. Early profitability, she noted, is uncommon—making local insights and strategic matchmaking essential for long-term success.
Reflecting on Bank Maspion’s journey, she noted that even established brands must rebuild trust in new markets. The bank began by supporting Thai investors already in Indonesia, then adapted its services to local needs.
“Kasikornbank has always been a good student—we follow the rules and rely on strong local teams to navigate challenges,” she shared, stressing that credibility and growth stem from deeply understanding local market dynamics.
